Good afternoon on this Saturday, October 14, 2023! It is a crisp, beautiful 60° Fall New England Day, and the leaves are in full color mode with vibrant reds, yellow and oranges! It has been a while since I have written you, and boy oh boy has a lot changed in that time. So much so, that it is statistically impossible for any one of us to fathomably know what is truly going on around the world. Truly fascinating (and Biblical) times we live in, especially what is currently going on in the state of Israel! God wants each of us to live in the moment, in His word, knowing that "this too, shall pass"! For this world is not our home, Heaven is. Love those around you, be of good cheer, and be of aid and comfort to those who need it, and the Lord will multiply what you have!
One thing you can do is start to introduce hard assets to your portfolio. One interesting play would be adding Uranium to your portfolio, either through the Sprott Physical Uranium ETF (only available on the Toronto Stock Exchange), or buying a basket of uranium stocks in an ETF.
There are also physical Gold and Silver ETF options (PHYS and PSLV). When it comes to financial insurance such as Precious Metals, one in the hand is worth more than two in the bush (so try to store what you can in your home safe). It sure does feel like "the end" of many things. I was fascinated to learn by Rafi Farber that in Hebrew tradition, the year 2024 equates to the year 5784. This just so happens to be a transition year, and in Ecclesiastes chapter 3, there are different "times" referenced that go in 216 year increments. The last four "times" in the scripture include a time to love, a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. The year 2024 (5784) marks the transition from the time for war, and we are now entering the time for peace according to the Jewish calendar and the Scriptures. Remarkably, this lines up with the periods of the Renaissance, Pre-American Revolution, the Post-Revolution / Industrial Revolution, and the times we are living in right now! And Mario Inneco and Eric Rice both discussed recently and reminded me about Gog and Magog, the ancient writings that describes the "Kings of the North" would come and invade Israel. Are Gog and Magog Russia, China and/or Iran? Possibly so, but time will tell!
We do not live in normal times by any stretch of the imagination. It is said that over 50% of the Millennial generation have moved back in with their parents, or someone else. The same generation that was demanded to take out loans to go to school to get worthless degrees. 30-50 years ago, our parents and grandparents generation were starting families and purchasing new homes and new cars on one breadwinners income. Today, both spouses working more than full time won't even cover rent in many areas, let alone buying a house and having to do the maintenance and upkeep. The elitists want to own everything and are actively trying to convince the younger generations to believe that we will all be happier under this arrangement. For some, ignorance truly is bliss. For those who know, we live in a nightmarish, dystopian reality. Never accept their vision of reality, only what God has predestined for us! There are also many more people fighting behind the scenes for our freedom than we will ever realize. This gives me hope, and Faith does the rest.
Wars bring out the worst in humanity, but also the best in humanity. Darkness is always overcome by the light. Sometimes, the darkness can last a long time. And with our personal lives, we must control what we can control. We have far more power than we realize. When we make small but meaningful and incremental changes, this can have a profound impact years from now.
I would like to add that too many Americans are naive to think that War cannot come to America. That is far from the Truth. With that said, it is highly likely that the only thing stopping millions of radical Islamists in waging jihad on Christians and Jews is the fact that anywhere from 30% to 50% of vigilant, law abiding American citizens own a gun. We must always stand for our Second Amendment right to bear arms. To me, this is the most important amendment to recognize and defend, as it signifies the last stand against unimpeded tyranny by those hellbent on controlling us.
As God separates the wheat from the tares, I hope you have a very blessed Harvest Season! Enjoy the small moments; before you know it, December 25th will be here and we will be celebrating the day that we recognize the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
